HOW MUCH ARE YOU WORTH?

JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life!

God = The Greatest One
So loved the world ! = The Greatest Degree
the world = The greatest amount of people
that He gave = The greatest generosity
His only begotten Son = The greatest uniqueness
that whosoever = The greatest invitation
believeth in Him = The greatest simplicity
should not = The greatest certainty
perish = The greatest possible loss
but = The greatest difference
have = The greatest possession
eternal = The greatest length
life = The greatest gift

When we notice in John 3:16 the greatest generosity it helps us to understand two things about God:

1. The first is His character and nature: He is extravagantly generous. Ephesians 1:7-8 "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight..."
2. We understand the depth of God’s care for us, as demonstrated by His generosity, or said differently it speaks of our value to God.
John 3:16 makes abundantly clear our value to God
Often we get overwhelmed by our own sins and shortcomings when we have blown it – it is hard to believe that God could love you and does STILL loves you! How could God forgive you for what I you have done, you ask? You keep messing up and he keeps forgiving you and loving you How marvellous is His love? How perfect is His forgiveness? He holds not one speck of unforgivness or anger against you! Oh, Perfect LOVE .. Not the kind of love you love with. This is loves comes with no conditions.

• WHY DO WE HAVE VALUE TO GOD? We are all wretched sinners, so what value does God find in a sinner?.
• IF YOU FOCUS ON YOUR UNWORTHINESS BEFORE GOD YOU WILL FEEL CONDEMENED AND ALIENATED. Fact: There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ, and we who were far off, have been brought NEAR TO HIM through the blood of the Lamb.
• What should you be focused on? [not your sin] But His love, and His beauty and his holiness! Focus on that!

What is Value is determined by? How do we determine a thing’s value? What about the value of a life? Do we value life? Do we place High Value on Life? A Human Life? God does. What about abortion? What about murder? God values every life.. every single life! They are all precious to him.
How do we measure the Value of something?
1. The cost.
How much does it cost ----God knew how much it was going to cost Him to make and redeem man long before the first man and woman were created. (Eph 1:4) Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.
He knew how much it was going to cost Him, and He went ahead with His plan anyway. Why?! Because in His eyes it was worth doing. The value He placed on having YOU to be near Him. You have great and enormous value to God!
2. The Price.
The actual purchase price paid. What did he get for the price paid? Have you ever wanted something so bad you would pay anything for it? TO the degree something has value to you, you will pay for it --- but with the precious blood of Christ. When we consider the purchase price paid, the precious blood of Christ --- then we have to know we are of great value to God.
3. The Effort.. in considering the value of a thing you must consider the amount of effort someone is willing to spend in order to obtain it. How far will you go? How bad do you want it? What will do DO for it? Will you be obedient to death? — God was willing to go the utmost distance for us!
4. The KEEPING the amount of effort that is spent to safeguard it. There are two main things that safeguard YOU. You have the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the Word of God. When God sent the Holy Spirit to seal and protect us, there is no greater vault anywhere in the universe. There is no stronger bodyguard, there is no more diligent watchman, and there is no more powerful protector.
5. VALUE TO THIEVES The more value an item has, the more thieves are attracted to stealing it. The fact the devil, and the world, have a contract on you should prove you have great worth!! THE DEVIL HATES YOU TO HAVE VALUE TO GOD.. HE WILL DO EVERYTHING TO STEAL IT!! AND LIE TO YOU ABOUT IT..
Do you find it easier to tell someone else that God loves them than you do to believe He loves you extravagantly as well? Then you don’t know your worth to God. Don’t let the enemy lie to you !!
Wh en we have no value on ourselves or little value
• We believe there is something wrong with us
• You don’t feel like others approve of you or like you
• You think you have to please everyone to get acceptance and approval
• You think that if you make a mistake or you are wrong you will lose value
• You think if you had more money or more things you would be more acceptable.
• You cant understand how God can love you, you don’t even love yourself.
• People who hate themselves have a hard time loving other people.
What kind of a person would you like to be? A CONFIDENT PERSON WITH GOOD SELF IMAGE WHO IS ACCEPTED BY OTHERS how a about a good person who know who they are in CHRIST and is accepting of others.. and their shortcomings. Not to be self conscious or presenting themselves as an apology whenever they are in another’s presence. A life time of low self worth and value usually means that there still is a huge amount of emotional pain deep inside you.

Remember never push down your emotions …and never bury your emotions alive; make sure they are dealt with and dead before your bury them.

A SENSE OF BELONGING IS REALLY POWERFUL!
There is a universal need built in us to be wanted and to know and feel accepted. When you feel rejected you will reject others. When you feel wanted you will embrace others. Accepted and enjoyed by others gives you security in who you are. Do you believe you are worth something? You are Gods child and he loves you.. He is pleased with you!

• You are completely forgiven
• You are totally loved.. I mean totally!!
• You are fully pleasing to him without doing a thing!
• He accepts you right here and now with out any conditions
• God has made you unique.. there is no one else like you!!

When Jesus was baptised in the Jordan as he came up out of the waters the holy spirit like a dove came and rested on him. The heavens opened and a voice was heard from heaven
 1. YOU ARE MY SON this is belonging.. Jesus belonged to the Father
2. WHOM I LOVE this is worth.. Jesus was highly valued and esteemed by the Father
3. WITH YOU I AM WELL PLEASED..

Resting in the trust of the Father in Him.. this is Affirmation

Three things that we need.. to belong .. to feel worth … to be affirmed as to who we are .

YOU BELONG .. And you are worth something. You have worth and significance in him BOOK SEARCH FOR SIGNIFICANCE --- what do you base your value on? You have value and importance! You have value to GOD and a purpose and a destiny! Do you believe that? Our heavenly Father loved all the people in the world so much that He gave up His own son,, to be beaten and sacrificed to show them that he really does love them! They have been estranged from him and he has now brought them close by the blood of the lamb.

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.
God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. that whoever believes in him may not die but have eternal life in him he will have eternal life. The judgment of condemnation is this:
The light came into the world, but people loved darkness because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil, speaks evil, operates in the darkness, hates his brother hates the light –And does NOT want to come near the light for fear the darkness will be exposed. Jesus already sees.. And he LOVES YOU. ..And he wants to deliver you from all darkness so come into the light because God so loved the world --- that was you. That He gave his only Son – that was Jesus that whoever believes and enters into his light and ways will not die in his sins but will have a glorious eternal life on earth as it is in Heaven!

  1. You have verbalized what you teach, you have shown me my value in the world in a way that I hadn't really comprehended before, in this blog you reinforce the understanding once again. My worth goes way beyond my little circle of existance.
